| NUCRO-TECHNICS'
Mammalian Toxicology and Pathology Testing Program is an
integral part of the safety evaluation services that
NUCRO-TECHNICS provides to clients. Our capabilities in
mammalian toxicology include studies in mice, rats, and
hamsters, and studies in non rodents such as rabbits, beagles
and minipigs. Clients can choose from a wide spectrum of
administration routes. Working with the client, we design the
required protocols and ensure that regulatory guidelines from
around the world are followed.
We perform the full spectrum of
acute, subchronic, chronic and carcinogenicity studies typically
required for new pharmaceuticals and biotechnology products.
In addition, we can test biomedical engineering products
and medical devices in a variety of protocols. We have experience
with a wide range of therapeutic agents. We can also conduct
toxicity studies with industrial chemicals.

ACUTE TOXICITY STUDIES
- Acute toxicity test (all
routes)
- Dermal and eye irritation
- Dermal sensitization (multiple
methods available)
- Vaginal irritation studies
SUBACUTE TOXICITY STUDIES
- Dose range-finding studies
- 14-day toxicity studies ¥
Repeated dermal and ocular studies
- 28- and 90-day toxicity
studies
CHRONIC TOXICITY STUDIES
- 6-, 12-, 18-, and 24-month
toxicity studies and carcinogenicity studies in rodents and
dogs
- Special preclinical
evaluations (drugs, biotechnology products, implantable
devices, chemicals, etc.)
Because of our experience,
NUCRO-TECHNICS can offer more than routine testing. Specialized
protocols for mechanistic investigations of target-tissue and
target-cell toxicities can be developed to meet your needs. Our
necropsy, histopathology and clinical pathology capabilities are
first-class and are monitored by our internal Quality Assurance
Unit. Using the LABCAT automated data capture system, we can
provide a variety of individual and summary tables, as well as
complete statistical evaluations. All our procedures and
facilities are routinely audited and maintained under GLP
regulations.
Toxicology Consulting Evaluation
of the potential impact of chemicals on human health and the
environment requires expert interpretation of biological and
toxicological information. NUCRO-TECHICS' Toxicology Laboratory,
in conjunction with several Associates, conducts assessments of
health and environmental risks of chemical substances to support
policy and product development decision-making, prioritization
of research and testing, and regulatory response strategies.
This effort is supported by state-of-the-art literature
searching and retrieval capabilities. We also have the
experience in expert testimony for legal proceedings.

- State-of-the-art reports,
surveys, monographs, and literature reviews
- Product safety evaluation and
product development strategy
- Hazard assessments - the
identification and evaluation of potential health hazards
posed by chemical substances
- Support of litigation
activities for existing products with respect to safety,
product liability, worker protection, or environmental
effects.
